Our Legacy
Aisha Zafar M.D (1963-2024)
Our beloved sister, Dr. Aisha Feryal Zafar, left us peacefully on June 7th 2024 for the Heavens. While she was our dear sister and we were blessed to have her in our lives for 60 wonderful years, she was a cherished confidante, champion and friend to countless others. She celebrated every moment with grace and dignity, participated in every occasion that uplifted others, and empowered those around her to lead their best lives. Her mantra was Hope and the Will of the Almighty. Aisha completed her medical education in 1987 from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. She came to the United States in 1988. Aisha led an accomplished and stellar career as a medical doctor, healing others. As an internal medicine physician and hospitalist, she took care of her patients with amazing empathy, care and commitment. She was incredibly well-respected and highly regarded by both her medical colleagues and patients. What people will remember most fondly about Aisha is her relentless efforts to elevate the voices of those without one. From feeding the hungry and giving the gift of sight to the blind, to educating poor children and uplifting them from poverty, it was her humanitarian efforts that became her calling and purpose. It was this philanthropic work that she was most committed to and that gave her the greatest sense of purpose and joy. She garnered blessings from thousands of impoverished and disadvantaged well wishers. What was particularly endearing about Aisha was her ability to connect with everyone in a meaningful manner. She was undoubtedly the life of every party with a contagious laugh. Everyone thought they had a special connection with her. That’s just how she made them feel! She was a gift from God to all of us and to God she has returned.
